A Way

Don't just stop.

A way is here.

A way to share what's going on with you, with people you're actually connected to.

No account. No name. Nothing to set up.

Coming to iPhone and Android.

Listen. Read. Connect.

Listen

Whisper about what's going on with you; your connections will hear it. If they reply, only you hear. You can hear your connections' whispers on Listen, and when they whisper, you can whisper back once.

Read

Connections write in their own words. If someone's words help, shout them out to your own connections. No likes, no reads, no following.

Connect

Hold your phones together, or share a code when you're apart. There is no search and no list of people, so every connection is someone you chose.

Sealed on your phone

A Way has no accounts and no server that knows you. The app makes its own keys on your phone the first time it opens. Everything you whisper, post or shout is sealed so only your connection's phone can open it, then left in an anonymous drop box on a relay we run. The relay can't open it, and deletes it within a week.

The privacy page says who can see what, and who runs what.

What A Way never does

  • Ask for your name, number, or email.
  • Show anyone a list of your connections.
  • Count likes, followers, days, or steps.
  • Send what you write anywhere unencrypted.
  • Read what you write. The check before sending runs on this phone only.
  • Tell anyone whether you quieted them, silenced them, saved them, or started over.
